Journey2u (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, Journey2u (“App”). By using our App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Our App only collects the following information:

• Name: We store your display name in a Hive box for the purpose of personalising your experience within the App.
• Referral Date: We store the referral date in the Hive box to keep track of the date when you were referred.
• Referral Clinic: We store the selected referral clinic in the Hive box to pull the correct data for your clinic.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Personalisation: To provide a personalised experience and display your name within the App.
• Tracking: To keep track of the referral date so the App can calculate the estimated appointment.
• Data Retrieval: To pull the correct data based on the selected referral clinic.

How We Store Your Information

The information we collect is stored locally on your device using the Hive database. However, we send your referral date and clinic information to Firebase Cloud Functions to calculate your estimated appointment date. 

This information is processed in the cloud and used solely for this purpose. Additionally, we use your clinic information to provide updates via Firebase Cloud Messaging. We do not store or process any other personal information on external servers.

Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorised access or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Third-Party Services

Our App does not use third-party services that may collect or process your data.

Children’s Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from children under 13, we will take steps to delete such information.
